The Smith Family luau

Not sure what a luau is used to celebrate

But now it is used to share the local culture
with the visitors.

We had a wonderful time
The Smith family has kept beautiful gardens
and lots of tropical fruits growing also.
enjoy the evening via my photos.

That's our dinner under that dirt pile.
The master of ceremony was GREAT.
I thoroughly enjoyed his narration during
the evening.

Dinners ready!

This beautiful tree is Kooaburra's favorite tree.

Yes it's the old gum tree.

This is the dinning hall.
Everything had a roof and with sudden
rains we were glad.

The location is pure heaven on earth what a place to enjoy dinner!

The food was so varied and everything was good.
 Amazing for such a
large gathering.

The Smith family does everything.
I spoke with the mother and grandmother
They cook all the food even the rice pudding!

Now out to the stage by the lake for
an amazing evening of music and dance.
Phil who doesn't care for such things
Loved the evening.  Despite
the rain it was warm all evening .

The pictures aren't good, so just imagine how
lovely our evening was.

Off to the bus to head back to our resort.
Tomorrow we will greet the sun
and fly to Oahu
lay over for 4 hours
and fly home for 9 hours.
